My youngest son had squints in both eyes from birth and, after an operation on the worst one, started his patching journey just as he turned 3. The conventional sticky patches were a nightmare – they were so big on him that they were uncomfortable and everytime I took them off I felt like I was going to wax his eyebrow off! I bought some of these patches and they were so much better – the slid on over his glasses and could be worn for days in a row and machine washed. Plus the different characters made them a talking point for the other children at nursery and then school (he stopped patching aged 6) – they loved them and were interested to see his different designs so they became a positive thing rather than negative. In the end we had a collection including Spider-Man, Batman, Hulk, Superman, Captain America and Minions!
